Persons with disabilities face discrimination in many areas of their lives; Very True . DAT has been designed by persons with disabilities to enable those who come in contact with the disabled community to understand the nature of these discriminatory practices and eradicate them from our society.
Recently, Telenor Pakistan launched a flagship project "Khuddar Pakistan" with an aim to become the most disabled-friendly company in Pakistan in terms of employment, service, and community support.
To do this, Telenor Pakistan will, for the first time in Pakistan, integrate persons with disabilities fully into the organization, create awareness about their abilities, and include them fully into everyday life with the help of assistive technologies. An awesome effort i must say. They will work in collaboration with its disability advisor STEP (SPECIAL TALENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM).
So this is what they say and prove "We believe growth comes from truly understanding the needs of people to drive relevant change". I love Telenor not only for being the leading operator and giving cheap calling rates, but for playing a major role in development of social and public sector of this state.
nice move
ReplyDeletenice work and keep it uppp...
ReplyDeletei would say u have just overstated what telenor did ... i have worked with telenor and there is nothing like fully integrated .. this training was organized by the CSR department which hired a disabled linguistic minority but pitty me they didnt even pay that guy .. what hypocrisy ... another fact .. they used it to market themselves more than they did to add value ... Telenors office doest even have a ramp within its office and they were not even ready to build one as the buildings were leased ...
ReplyDeleteone thing that keeps bugging me is that Telenor has constantly used bloggers to spread positive word of mouth which is illicit and illegal if the comments dont make sense or are not consistent with what happened actually.
Another fact ... by teaching alphabets in a plush meeting or thinking room ur not doing some great development to the organization.
thanks for accepting the comment though didnt expect it :)
